Our Catholic faith in Jesus Christ is the integrating factor in all we do at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School. Our Catholic faith and identity are present in all courses and subjects taught. Along with a well-coordinated program, daily lessons are formulated to guide growth in our discipleship in Christ and include instruction of Church doctrine, liturgy/sacraments, scripture, morality, Catholic social teachings, and prayer. Religion in grades Pre-K to 3rd is taught by the homeroom teachers and is departmentalized in grades 4-8. Teachers who are certified catechists, or are in the process of becoming certified catechists, teach Religion class. Students in Pre-K 3 through grade 3 participate in The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based program that provides further opportunity for students to encounter and discover God.
Students in kindergarten to 8th grade attend Mass weekly and Holy Days. Pre-K 4 students start attending Mass during Lent. Students participate in carrying out these liturgies and other prayer experiences. Students also participate in Adoration and Confession. Students in Grade 5-8 participate in various spiritual retreats throughout the year.
