Mrs. Susan Vader earned her BA in English from California Baptist University in Riverside California. She began homeschooling her children in 1994, using different methods and approaches, until she met a family teaching Latin to their 10 yr old! Intrigued with the idea of teaching Latin to elementary aged children, she began in earnest to learn more about a classical pedagogy. Concerned about false philosophies and the onslaught of relativism and atheism in our universities and in our world, education for the sake of learning to cast down “ every proud thing that raises itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every understanding unto the obedience of Christ” ( 2 Corinthian 10:5), became her aim.  Her favorite homeschooling memories are of reading beautiful books aloud for hours, and talking about ideas while everyone was still in their pj's. 

She firmly believes in the Catholic and Apostolic faith and desires to build-up others in Truth. And, she is honored to be teaching English at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School! 

 In her leisure time she enjoys learning about interior and exterior design, cooking, reading, swimming, putting around in the garden, and spending time with her family. She is the proud grandmother of three… so far.
