Sam Vanderplas serves as principal and logic teacher at St. Elizabeth. He has served as founding headmaster of a classical school and has taught five subjects and ten grades at Catholic, charter, and public schools. He has published a book for Latin students, written for Crisis Magazine and the Society for Classical Learning, and run a web development company. He earned his B.A. studying Greek and Hebrew and his master's studying humanities and classical education at the University of Dallas. He and his wife have six children and are SEAS parishioners. His children are SEAS students.
