Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Rose Safranek graduated from the University of Dallas in 2020 with a degree in English Literature on an additional pre-medical track. Achieving Dean’s List honors each semester, she graduated Magna Cum Lauda with the society honors of Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Tau Delta membership. For a year post-college, Rose worked as a broker/financial agent for an investment firm. Through high school and college she greatly enjoyed tutoring, editing, and working as an education camp counsellor, and is excited to join SEAS as a first-time teacher. Rose is eager to join a program that mingles classical wisdom with the truths of the Catholic faith, a combination rarely found these days. An avid singer and pianist, she appreciates all things musical, and loves to act (especially Shakespeare), write essays, read poetry, and go on long runs! One highlight of her college experience was a study-abroad semester at UD’s campus just outside Rome; besides Italy, she especially enjoyed her visits to Greece, Austria and Prague and looks forward to returning to Europe as soon as she can!
