Jackie Boos has been teaching for 14 years, primarily in Catholic schools. She has a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and instruction, and she began her teaching career in a small Catholic school in Illinois teaching P.E., music, art, library, and computers. Since moving to Texas in 2012, she has taught third grade, fifth grade, and second grade, with the majority of the time spent in the fifth-grade classroom. Mrs. Boos grew up attending St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Council Grove, Kansas, and attended undergraduate school at Kansas State University, where she met her husband, Bruce. She has three children: Ethan (19), Alex (16), and Juliet (11). Mrs. Boos enjoys volunteering at St. Mark Catholic Church through teaching faith formation classes, participating in Catholic Way Bible Study, and attending retreats and faith-sharing events with the ACTS community. In her free time, Mrs. Boos enjoys reading, writing, traveling, spending time with her family, and enjoying creative pursuits, such as painting and woodworking. She absolutely loves teaching children about the faith and hopes to help as many people get to Heaven as possible.
