Maria Gutierrez lives in Fort Worth with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville TX. Maria is attending Texas Teachers of Tomorrow for her alternative teacher certification in EC-6 bilingual education. She is overjoyed to teach at SEASCS and to be involved in an amazing faith-based family atmosphere.

Outside of teaching she enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, reading, and traveling. Her love for reading and learning intrigued her to become a teacher. She plans to bring her travel experiences to the classroom. A memorable travel that she will share with her students is her trip to Europe. She and her husband toured St. Peter’s Basilica and were privileged to meet Pope Francis, it was very inspiring. As she starts her teaching journey at SEASCS, she hopes to foster the love for reading and love for God in each of her students.
