Katherine Arnold holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and history. She also has a Master of Science in health education. She has worked at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton for thirteen years. Prior to working at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, she taught at Our Lady of Fatima in Albuquerque, NM for thirteen years. Working here has given her the pleasure of serving both the community and God.
Traveling has also allowed her to grow as a Catholic and an educator. Being able to camp at the Grand Canyon, saying the Rosary as she sat on the Rim of the Canyon was an inspiring experience that she remembers to this day. Walking through the doors at the Vatican helped her truly feel the history of her faith. Then catching a bus to Pompeii so she could create a poster to hang in her classroom gave her discussions of the eruption of Vesuvius more meaning when she could give a personal description of the city.
She enjoys experiencing nature and sharing it with her students. Kathy likes to experience new cultures, especially when it comes to their food. Whether it was walking everyday to Trevi Fountain or asking her uncle what dish is unique to New York that she should try when she visited him. These experiences help her to grow as a person.
