Katie Tweedel is delighted to teach History at SEAS for a second year. Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Katie attended the University of Dallas where she earned a B. A.
summa cum laude in history and was awarded the history department’s Father Louis J. Lekai award. While at UD, she spent a semester studying in Rome, Italy whose history and beauty fascinated her. Katie was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa after her junior year of college. Her undergraduate thesis examined the life and community of Saint John Henry Newman. Katie enjoys sewing, skiing, and baking but reading most of all.
