Duane Pelzel is a second career educator with a certification in Social
Studies/Literature/English/Science of Reading. He spent the first portion of his career
in sales, customer service and management, most recently in the airline industry. He
attended St. George Catholic School and has spent a lifetime volunteering in a variety
of Catholic ministries including youth ministries. He began teaching at SEAS in
2021 and feels blessed to be a part of your student’s education.
Duane graduated from UNT with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. His wife, Meg,
also teaches at SEAS. He has three children, Grace, Faith and Zachary.
