I am Andrew M. Allen a devout Catholic and father of five children, married to Paula M. Allen for 35 years. I grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Arlington High School where I ran track and played football. I am graduate of Texas A&M university, class of 87, with a degree in Physical Education. My Wife and I were founding members of the Aggie Awakening retreat program at St. Mary’s Catholic church in College Station, Texas where we first met and where we both grew tremendously in our faith.
I am All level certified Physical Education teacher and have taught at All Saints Episcopal School in Ft. Worth Texas for 9 years where I established their high school football program. I taught 1 year in Garner ISD and spent 22 years in Springtown ISD where I received the honor of being “Teacher of the Year” and a received the Lamar award (a district wide award) mainly due to the Dynamic Sports and fitness P.E. program I created and implemented in the district.
I have spent 9 years in youth ministry in the Ft. worth diocese in both full and part-time positions and have taught adult catechesis 25 years. I am also a professed 3rd order Franciscan.
I am now retired from the public school system and am doing what I always wanted to do, and that is teach in a Catholic school where I can openly talk about God and share my faith!
